Godzilla vs. Kong Footage Shows Off the Clash of the Titans

A teaser from Warner Bros., which features all movies set to be released this year, briefly shows off a battle from the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong.

Warner Bros. released a teaser trailer for all movies that are set to premiere both in theaters and on HBO Max in 2021, showing new footage from the upcoming movie, Godzilla vs. Kong.

Posted to Twitter, a brief clip from at the start of the teaser shows Godzilla emerging from the ocean, with Kong landing a massive punch on the titan’s face from the shore. This is the first look at the battle between these two legendary monsters, which is set to premiere March 26, 2021.

According to Warner Bros., all movies shown in the teaser, including Godzilla vs Kong, will be available to stream on HBO Max for 31 days after their initial release. They will only be available to stream in the US.

It was recently announced that Godzilla vs Kong would be released two months earlier than expected, and will land in theaters and HBO Max in March rather than its initial May 2021 release date. This comes after long negotiations between Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures, the latter of which resisted the simultaneous release strategy.

Legends collide as Godzilla and Kong, the two most powerful forces of nature, clash on the big screen in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into fantastic uncharted terrain, unearthing clues to the Titans’ very origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.

Directed by Adam Wingard and written by Eric Pearson and Max Borenstein, Godzilla vs. Kong stars Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall and Brian Tyree Henry. The film arrives in theaters and on HBO Max March 26.
