Final Falcon and Winter Soldier Promo Spoils the Moment You’re Waiting For

A promo for the final episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier spoils the surprise of what is exactly inside Sam Wilson’s Wakandan briefcase.

WARNING: This article contains possible spoilers for the season finale of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, streaming Friday on Disney+.

A television promo for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier spoils the moment fans have been waiting for, which involves the mystery of what is inside Sam Wilson’s Wakandan briefcase.

The short Falcon and Winter Soldier promo shows various scenes from the Disney+ series, including dramatic scenes from Episode 5, titled “Truth.”  We see the post-credits scene of John Walking crafting his own Captain America shield, along with Falcon and Winter Soldier’s opening confrontation to take Steve Rogers’ original Cap shield back from Walker. However, the end of the promo transitions from Sam opening his Wakanda briefcase, to the hero soaring through the night sky in a red-white-and-blue Captain America costume.

It’s worth noting that the promo states that all episodes of Falcon and Winter Soldier are now streaming on Disney+, meaning that the video was possibly scheduled to be released after the season finale.

A previous toy leak in January spoiled who between Falcon and Winter Soldier would go on to carry the Captain America mantle by the time the Marvel Studios production comes to an end. That toy showed Sam Wilson in a comics-accurate costume from his time as Captain America. This suit was introduced for Falcon in 2014’s All-New Captain America by writer Rick Remender and artist Stuart Immonen.

After Steve Rogers lost his super-soldier serum, his body reverted back to its natural age. This led him to pass the mantle of Captain America to Sam Wilson, who went on to lead the Avengers in Mark Waid’s All-New, All-Different Avengers.

Created by Malcolm Spellman and directed by Kari Skogland, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell, Noah Mills, Carl Lumbly, Florence Kasumba, Adepero Oduye and Daniel Brühl. New episodes debut Fridays on Disney+.
