Browns vs. Chiefs: Live score, updates, highlights from Sunday’s Divisional Round playoff game | DAZN News New Zealand

It’s Cleveland against Kansas City with a spot in the AFC Championship on the line.

It’s not often that the third-place team from a division gets a chance to move on to a conference championship game, but that’s exactly what’s at stake for the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

The Browns (11-5) finished third in the AFC North before stunning division-topping Pittsburgh 48-37 in last week’s Wild Card round, and now they travel to Kansas City to take on the AFC’s top seed in the Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes and Co. earned their way into Sunday’s game by way of an AFC-best 14-2 regular-season record, and they’ll be eager to show why they are considered a favourite to get to the Super Bowl for the second straight season.

For the Browns, it’ll probably take another huge offensive output to have a chance against the Chiefs, although it’s unlikely that Kansas City will be as sloppy to start the game as the Steelers were last week. Still, big outings by Baker Mayfield, Kareem Hunt and the rest of Cleveland’s offence are a must if the Browns are to continue their Cinderella run through the postseason.

The winner of this one faces the Buffalo Bills in next week’s AFC Championship.
